My research focuses on understanding DNA break repair through a combination of molecular biology and bioinformatic approaches.Â
I am currently investigating Break Induced Replication (BIR) in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, using innovative methods to collect and analyze data, identify new BIR players and mechanisms, and establish various bioinformatic pipelines for genetic variant discovery, annotation, and analysis.
Furthermore, I am also investigating Microhomology-mediated break-induced replication (MMBIR) signatures in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) databases of human cancers.
